**Available to stream:** April 1 (season 1)
If you've missed *St. Denis Medical*, an NBC comedy currently wrapping up its second season, it's time to catch up.
Set in the emergency department of a rural Oregon hospital, it follows the exploits of a diverse ensemble of administrators, doctors, surgeons, and nurses played by comic luminaries such as Wendi McLendon-Covey (*The Goldbergs*) and David Alan Grier (*In Living Color*). If *The Pitt* is a bit too heavy (or gross) for you, consider *St. Denis Medical *a safe alternative.
McLendon-Covey leads the cast as Joyce, the hospital's executive director. "She's a former oncologist, so she thought, 'I'm going to change things from the inside. I'm going to help out that way,'" the actress previously told **. "Now she's kind of stuck in a position where all she does is beg for money all day, trying to find donors, trying to keep this place running, trying to keep morale up, trying to keep her *own* morale up. And it's very hard."**
**Creators:** Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin
**Cast:** Wendi McLendon-Covey, Allison Tolman, David Alan Grier, Josh Lawson, and Mekki Leeper**

Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey in 'XO, Kitty' season 3.
**Available to stream:** April 2 (season 3)
*XO, Kitty* is a spinoff of the hugely popular *To All the Boys* film series, centering on Kitty Song-Covey, sister to the franchise's Lara Jean (Lana Condor).
Speaking of Lara, she's set to play a major role in season 3. Condor will reprise the role for her first time in the new episodes, which are set during Kitty's senior year of high school in Seoul.
"It's such a joy to be able to come back and see Anna," Condor previously told Netflix's Tudum. "I think she did an amazing job creating the *XO, Kitty* world. It's such a dream to be able to work with her again. I feel really excited and happy and honored I get to be back."******Creator:** Jenny Han
**Cast:** Anna Cathcart, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Choi Min-yeong, and Anthony Keyvan**
Trust Me: The False Prophet

'Trust Me: The False Prophet'.
**Available to stream:** April 8
*Trust Me: The False Prophet* follows a cult expert who "infiltrates a polygamist sect to expose a self-proclaimed prophet and bring him to justice."
Directed by Rachel Dretzin,* Trust Me* is a companion piece to her 2022 Netflix docuseries *Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey*, which chronicled Warren Jeffs, a leader in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, an offshoot of the Mormon church. Jeffs was imprisoned in 2011 for sexually assaulting two underage girls he took as brides, but a self-proclaimed heir, Samuel Bateman, stepped up in his absence.
Dretzin's film follows cult expert Christine Marie and her videographer husband, Tolga Katas, who claim to have uncovered evidence of further abuse after making their way into Bateman's inner circle.**

Dan Levy as Nicky on 'Big Mistakes'.
Spencer Pazer/Netflix
**Available to stream:** April 9
Dan Levy, co-creator of the Emmy-winning comedy *Schitt's Creek*, dreamt up *Big Mistakes* with Rachel Sennott, who's currently enjoying success as the star, writer, and creator of HBO's *I Love LA*.
In addition to serving as a showrunner, Levy stars as Nicky, an openly gay pastor who gets wrapped up in a shady underworld plot with his flailing sister Morgan (Taylor Ortega).
"I have a completely unfounded fear of being entrapped by organized crime," Levy previously told EW. "I don't know whether it was my algorithm or just the kinds of news that I've been drawn to over the years. Most of the time, you can't really get out once you're in, and that felt really scary to me, but it also felt really propulsive as a story idea for TV. Throw two characters who ultimately prove themselves to be a liability to the organized crime dynamic, therein lies the comedy."**
**Creators:** Dan Levy and Rachel Sennott
**Cast:** Dan Levy, Taylor Ortega, Laurie Metcalf, Abby Quinn, Jack Innanen, and Boran Kuzum**

Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan in 'Beef' season 2.
**Available to stream:** April 16 (season 2)
*Beef, *a story about road rage and revenge starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, was a massive hit when it premiered on Netflix in 2023, going on to win eight Emmys and three Golden Globes.
But don't expect season 2 to pick back up with Yeun and Wong's characters. Rather, it will tell an entirely new story with a starry cast headlined by Oscar Isaac (*Frankenstein*), Carey Mulligan (*Maestro*), Charles Melton (*May December*), and Cailee Spaeny (*Alien: Romulus*).
Season 2 centers on a Gen Z couple who witness a fight involving their boss at an elite country club and his wife. According to the logline, this triggers "chess moves of favors and coercion" as each couple tries to curry favor with the club's billionaire owner (Youn Yuh-jung).
**Creator:** Lee Sung Jin
**Cast:** Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, and Youn Yuh-jung**
This is a Gardening Show

Zach Galifianakis on 'This Is a Gardening Show'.
**Available to stream:** April 22
Zach Galifianakis rose to prominence seeding chaos in *The Hangover *trilogy, antagonizing celebrities as the host of *Between Two Ferns, *and screaming at children as acting teacher Tairy Greene. But the comedian's mellowed out as he's gotten older, as evidenced by his new Netflix series, *This is a Gardening Show*.
"For human beings and for the world itself, the only future is agrarian," he declares sincerely in the series' trailer, which shows Galifianakis tilling, picking, and pruning in various gardens.
But this celebration of the joys (and practical value) of gardening is also laced with comedy, as Galifianakis cracks plenty of jokes with the experts and kids joining him amongst the greenery.

**Available to stream:** April 23 (season 2)
Kate Hudson leads this Netflix comedy as Isla Gordon, a "reformed party girl" who's appointed president of her family's basketball team, the Lakers-esque L.A. Waves. After proving her worth in season 1, Isla is now "the one everyone is watching," according to a synopsis.
Season 2 will center on the family drama inherent to the Gordon dynasty, much of it caused by Isla's brother, a fresh-out-of-rehab Cam (Justin Theroux). It will also introduce a roster of exciting guest stars, including Lisa Rinna, Nicole Richie, Scott Speedman, and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer. *Everybody Loves Raymond* star Ray Romano will also join the cast as the Waves' new head coach.

'Stranger Things: Tales From '85'.
**Available to stream:** April 23
*Stranger Things* wrapped its five-season run as the world celebrated the arrival of 2026. Now, the sci-fi juggernaut gets its first spinoff with *Tales From '85*, an animated series set between the events of seasons 2 and 3.
The series is executive produced by *Stranger Things* creators Matt and Ross Duffer, with Matt previously telling EW that *Tales From '85 *is meant to "evoke a feeling of an '80s cartoon." ****
"Our heroes Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max have settled back into a normal life of *D&D*, snowball fights, and quiet days," reads the official synopsis. "But beneath the ice, something terrifying has awakened. Could it be from the Upside Down? From the depths of Hawkins Lab? Or from somewhere else entirely?"
*Marty Supreme* breakout Odessa A'zion will voice a new character to the *Stranger Things* universe, Nikki Baxter, while Freddy Krueger actor Robert Englund — who played a role in season 4 of the mothership — will lend his pipes to a character called Cosmo.**
**Creator:** Eric Robles
**Cast:** Brett Gipson, Luca Diaz, Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, Braxton Quinney, Elisha Williams, Ben Plessala, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Odessa A'zion, Janeane Garofalo, Robert Englund, and Lou Diamond Phillips**

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as John Creasy on 'Man on Fire'.
**Available to stream:** April 30
*Man on Fire* stars *Wonder Man*'s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as John Creasy, a former Special Forces mercenary who, despite suffering from intense PTSD, comes out of retirement for an explosive mission in Brazil.
The series is based on A.J. Quinnell's Creasy series of novels, and its high-octane story was previously adapted in the 2004 film *Man on Fire*, starring Denzel Washington.
It's tough to follow in Washington's footsteps, but showrunner Kyle Killen says Abdul-Mateen II has the chops. “He can do everything," he told Tudum. "That’s what John Creasy needs. He can be incredibly powerful, and still communicates a lot without saying anything. He’s obviously incredible at action, but he’s also very adept at just revealing those little places where he lets you in.”
**Creator:** Kyle Killen
**Cast:** Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Alice Braga, Billie Boulet, Bobby Cannavale, and Scoot McNairy**
