Keith Bynum might have a new TV project up his sleeve!

The former HGTV star teased a possible new show in the works while responding to a fan's comment on an Instagram post he shared Saturday, April 4. In the post, Bynum — who hosted Bargain Block with his partner Evan Thomas for five seasons before it was canceled last year — documented his process of painting an elaborate mural for a homeowner.

“Had a great time mural-ing for one of my favorite clients!! Can't wait for y'all to see this house finished!!” the Detroit-based designer captioned the post.

The post attracted a number of comments praising Bynum's talent, as well as some fans expressing how much they wished Bynum and Thomas would get a new show.

“You're amazing!! You guys NEED a new show,” one user wrote, prompting Bynum to reply, “Y'all might just get your wish 😮.”

Sharing similar sentiments, other fans wrote comments like, “I miss your show” and, “Another show would be so awesome!!”

Bynum continued to hint at a new project this week by reposting a photo Thomas shared to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, April 8.

In the shot, Thomas snapped a photo of a camera crew pointing in his direction, writing in white text over the photo, “I spy a camera guy…” He also tagged Bynum in the post.

The updates come almost one year after the stars first revealed Bargain Block was canceled after five seasons in a June 22 Instagram post. The fan-favorite series saw the pair working alongside real estate agent Shea Hicks-Whitfield to buy and restore abandoned homes in the Detroit area.

After sharing the surprising news, the couple told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that they first learned about the pending cancellation in February 2025.

At the time, they say, they got an unexpected call from HGTV that forced them to rethink their priorities for their business, NINE Design + Homes, and their future.

"Six months ago, our entire business was literally derailed," Bynum recalled, revealing that their "revenue stream was built heavily off our television contracts. And we had already been moving in a direction to fulfill a fifth season when it was announced that they were not going to move forward."

"We were just not in a place at all to prepare for that," he said, admitting that "we just got caught with our pants down. And as a business owner, that's the worst feeling in the world."

Bynum said the decision to go public about the cancellation was cathartic, as he had a lot of pent-up frustration about the situation.

"Announcing it helped release a lot of the anger that we had felt for months following [the news],” he told PEOPLE.

"We suffered for months, from February until June, and I finally was like, 'I can't take it anymore. I'm gonna say something,'" Bynum recalled, revealing that "I'm glad I did because what it did is it helped me get my anger out of me."

The show's shocking end came amid a number of high-profile cancellations from HGTV last year, including Christina on the Coast, Married to Real Estate, Farmhouse Fixer and more.
