Hilary Duff may have received a visit from the late Aaron Carter.

In a new interview on the Las Culturistas podcast, the "Roommates" singer, 38, recalled speaking to a psychic who claimed Carter's spirit showed up to visit her during their session following his November 2022 death at age 34.

Duff began the story by recalling a time when a psychic figured out her identity over a phone call. Before sharing the details, she spoke about her lasting friendship with Aaron's sister, Angel.

"I'm friends with Aaron Carter's sister still, Angel. We go our kids go to the same school. She's a lovely literal angel of person," said the star. "We're very close. We talk about Aaron often."

Duff explained she likes to "dabble" in the world of psychics, horoscopes, palm readings and tarot cards about "two times a year."

The psychic in question was "hard to get a hold of," but Duff got her on the phone after "three weeks" of trying. "I get on the phone with her and she's like, ‘Oh, you have such bright energy. I'm so excited to talk to you today,'" she said. "And I was like, ‘Oh, thank you. That's so nice. How do we start? I don't know. Should I just start asking you questions?’"

Duff continued, "She’s like, ‘Well, people are going to start showing up for you. And there's someone here, Aaron — two a’s, Aaron.’"

“I was like, ‘Oh my God. Is it Aaron Carter?’ And she's like, ‘Sure is. What the hell is he doing here?’ And I was like, ‘Well, that’s my childhood boyfriend. That would make sense to me,’" she added. "And she’s like, ‘Are you Hilary Duff?’"

Later during the call, as they discussed "lighter topics," the psychic revealed Duff's song "So Yesterday" got her through a breakup. "Anyway, yeah, a really wild experience," she said.

Aaron died on Nov. 5, 2022, at age 34 in a drug-related accidental drowning. He and Duff dated back in 2001, and the "I Want Candy" musician made a guest appearance on an episode of the "Come Clean" singer's Disney Channel series, Lizzie McGuire.

The pair later broke up in 2004. Duff is now married to husband Matthew Koma, with whom she shares four kids.

Following Aaron's death, Duff paid tribute to him on social media. "I am deeply sorry that life was so hard and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world," she wrote in the Instagram post's caption at the time. "You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent."

"Boy, did my teenage self love you deeply," she added. "Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy."

Duff released her latest album, luck...or something, in February.
