She credits her past heartbreak for leading her to her new fiancƩ and has shared their love story on social media
A Welsh bride who went viral after she was left at the altar has gotten engaged again.
Kayley Stead revealed on Instagram on May 26 that she's engaged to Richard PerrottĀ more than three years after she was stood up at her wedding by her ex.
She shared a photo with her new fiancƩ and her new engagement ring, which featured a circular topaz gemstone surrounded by a circle of diamonds. The couple smiled happily following the proposal at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David campus.
"Promoted to fiancĆ©e šā¤ļø," she captioned the picture.

She revealed to Mirrorthat the ring previously "belonged to his nan," adding that it was a "thoughtful" gesture. She also told the outlet that one of the "difficult" parts of planning another wedding was finding a new wedding dress, especially "because I loved the first one."
"But I want a dress that celebrates who I am now. I'm so much more confident in myself and my body than I was before. And I've definitely learned that finding a dress that's easy to go to the toilet in is a priority," she told the outlet.

Stead previously went viral after revealing on TikTok in September 2022 that her groom didn't show up for their wedding. However, she stillĀ decided to celebrate with family and friends anyway, since everyone had already dressed up for the occasion and gone to the venue.
"So I was a jilted bride and unfortunately s--- things happen to people," she captioned one video showing her crying before taking a shot, dancing with her bridesmaids and cutting the wedding cake with her best friends.

"Even though the day didn't go to plan, I couldn't let the hard work that I put into this day and a good party go to waste," she continued. "The day was filled with many laughs and a lot of tears."
She said the DJ asked her which song she wanted to enter her wedding reception solo with and told them that he wanted Lizzo's "Good as Hell."
"This song carried me through the day and reminded me that 'if he don't love you anymore just walk your fine ass out the door.' I have never resonated with lyrics so much as I did/do with @lizzo song until that momentā¦.," she explained.
Stead has since shared her positive outlook on the whole situation in several videos, including one posted with Perrott, whom she began dating in February 2024, on TikTok.
She wrote over a black and white photo of herself crying in her wedding dress and several other photos of herself solo at the reception, "To my ex who left me on our wedding day thank you becauseā¦"

In another TikTok video, she jokingly responded to a comment to her that read, "absolute baddie getting proposed to twice.' She responded by dancing in her kitchen and writing, "two weddings and no divorce is going on my cv."
