Nick Jonas revealed the song he requested be played at his wedding in a new interview with PEOPLE
"It reminds me of my childhood," Jonas said of the song
The singer-songwriter married Priyanka Chopra in 2018 in India
Nick Jonas had a nostalgic song choice for his wedding day.
The musician, 33, marriedPriyanka Chopra, 43, in December 2018 in two ceremonies in India. Ahead of the release of his new movie Power Ballad,Jonas revealed his one must-have song for his nuptials: Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance."
"It's a great song," Jonas told PEOPLE during a joint interview with costar Paul Rudd, 57. "And my mother (Denise) and I had our first mother-son dance to that song and it reminds me of my childhood."
He added, "It was a good one. It's a classic."

The mother-son dance followed Jonas and Chopra's romantic first dance, which was set to Roberta Flack's heartfelt ballad, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face."
A wedding guest told PEOPLE at the time that Chopra and Jonas "were cheered on by all." The guest added, "Their love was palpable."
Earlier this year, Jonas shared his pick for "the ultimate wedding song."

"There are so many. One that I go to all the time is probably Bryan Adams' '(Everything I Do) I Do It for You,' " Jonas told Entertainment Weekly at the premiere of Power Ballad during the SXSW Conference & Festivals on March 14, in Austin, Texas.

Two months later, the Camp Rock star revealed that his 2014 sexy and intense pop song "Jealous," which is about feeling possessive and protective in a relationship, is the song he's most asked to perform at weddings.
"I'm kind of reluctant because it's not the best sentiment, the night you're committing your whole lives to each other. But, it's fun," Jonas said during the Q&A portion of SiriusXM's special early screening of Power Ballad on May 18 at The Roxy Cinema in New York City.

Power Ballad hits theaters on Friday, June 5.
