The Recording Academy paid tribute to those who are no longer with us this year.
To kick off the 2026 Grammy Awards annual In Memoriam segment, Reba McEntire, Brandy Clark and Lukas Nelson also paid tribute to Brett James, Alan Bergman, Sheila Jordan, Roy Ayers, Jimmy Cliff, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Chuck Mangione and more with "Trailblazer."
One of the names flashing behind McEntire, 70, as she sang was her late former stepson, Brandon Blackstock, who died in August 2025 at age 48 from cancer.

Their set was followed by Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan and Andrew Watt, who took the stage to perform "War Pigs" in honor of Ozzy Osbourne. During the set, Kelly, Sharon and Jack Osbourne appeared visibly emotional and moved by the tribute to the late rocker.

Raphael Saadiq and Anthony Hamilton performed "Lady," and Leon Thomas then played a rendition of "Devil's Pie." Later, Bilal sang “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” and Jon Batiste closed the stretch with “Africa.”
