Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams had a date night once the 2026 Golden Globe Awards wrapped.

Hamnet star Mescal, 29, and pop singer Abrams, 26, were photographed heading to Chateau Marmont in L.A. on Sunday, Jan. 11 after the 83rd annual Golden Globes, where his movie Hamnet won Best Motion Picture (Drama) and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for Mescal's costar Jessie Buckley. The couple were seen holding hands as they stepped out of a vehicle for the afterparty.

Mescal was nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for his role in Hamnet. Stellan Skarsgård (Sentimental Value) won that award; Benicio Del Toro (One Battle After Another), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Sean Penn (One Battle After Another) and Adam Sandler (Jay Kelly) were also nominated.

Mescal is generally private when it comes to his personal life. He explained that he did not "know how to answer" a question regarding what made him and Abrams go public with their relationship during a September profile published by Rolling Stone.

"I actually do have an answer, but everything to do with that is deeply precious to me and I don’t want to. ... This isn’t … I don’t really … umm … I want to protect those things fundamentally," he said at the time.

Mescal and Abrams were first linked in June 2024 when they were seen sharing a meal together in London. The pair were spotted again in London in August 2024 before a source confirmed to PEOPLE that they were "hooking up." By November 2024, a source told PEOPLE that the couple "are the real deal" after she accompanied him to the Los Angeles premiere of Gladiator II.

The pair went Instagram official with their relationship when Abrams shared a photo of herself and Mescal laying down together in July 2025 as the pair spent time together at Glastonbury, the annual summer music festival in England.
