Pink revealed she has a fear of heights but embraces it in her performances

"I believe in feeling the fear and doing it anyway," she said

In a separate interview, the singer teased unique aerial stunts and a playful opening number for her upcoming 2026 Tony Awards hosting gig

Pink isn't one to let fears get in the way.

During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, June 2, the "Raise Your Glass" singer opened up about her fear of heights and explained why she still chooses to do her signature aerial stunts at her shows.

"You are known for your aerial performances, which is why I was shocked to hear that you are afraid of heights," Meyers, 52, said.

"Once, Carey my husband was driving me to the 'Don't Let Me Get Me' video, which was like 854 years ago, and we were driving along a cliff and he's reckless. I said, 'Let me out or I'll never speak to you again.' I had to walk. I cannot handle heights," Pink, 46, recalled.

She added, "And that's why I do that. I believe in feeling the fear and doing it anyway."

Then, the host asked how she manages to stop thinking about her fears when she's in the air.

"It's so freeing. My mom was once like, 'Aren't you ever going to stay on the ground?' And I was like, 'Why would I?'" she said. "If I can do this, if I can convince people to shoot me out of a stage floor, why wouldn't I do that? It's so much fun."

The "Just Give Me a Reason" singer continued, "It turns 50-year-old men into 6-year-old boys... Like the first time you see magic," she said. "I get that every night from people. That's why I'm so bored at home."

Pink's appearance at the talk show comes ahead of her hosting gig at the 2026 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 7.

During an appearance on CBS Mornings on June 2, Pink teased the aerial acrobatics she has in store.

"There will be acrobatic moments, but not in the way that you would normally see me doing acrobatic moments," Pink said, adding, "I know there's a harness or two."

For the opening number, the singer said she has big plans and an unexpected idea on how she'd like the audience to see her.

"It is goofy and over-the-top and it's sort of a nod back — it'll all make sense — and there's gonna be 170 people on stage. It's gonna be so fun," Pink said of the opening number. "And I'm an idiot from the very first moment, which was very important to me."
