- Cassie Ventura reveals she left the U.S. following legal settlements from former partner Sean "Diddy" Combs, and she has no intention of returning.

- The mother of three shared the news in court documents for an ongoing lawsuit brought by former sex worker Clayton Howard against her and Combs last year.

- Ventura noted that while she is an American citizen, she resides "outside of the United States."

Cassie Ventura has moved on after serving as the star witness in the criminal sex-trafficking case against her former partner, Sean "Diddy" Combs — both emotionally and physically.

In court documents filed on May 1 and obtained by USA TODAY, Ventura requested a dismissal or a transfer of location for her ongoing legal battle with male escort Clayton Howard, revealing that she no longer lives stateside.

"I am not a resident of the State of California. I reside outside of the United States," Ventura stated in the declaration. "I do not intend to move back to the United States."

Because of this, Ventura requested that, "If this case were to proceed, it would be significantly more convenient for purposes of participation in the case to travel to New York, where my lawyers are, than to California, where no parties to this action reside."

The document specifies that Ventura is a U.S. citizen, but doesn't share where Ventura currently resides with her husband, Alex Fine, and their three children.

Representatives for Ventura did not immediately respond when ** reached out for comment.

News of Ventura's relocation comes a year after the model shared the graphic details of her 10-year relationship with Combs when she took the stand in the rapper's highly publicized trial.

Ventura — who was eight months pregnant at the time with her third child — took the witness stand and gave emotional testimony over four days. She detailed Combs' physical abuse against her, and the origin of the disgraced mogul's notorious "freak-offs" — hours-long drug-fueled sex parties.

She testified that over the course of their 10-year relationship, Combs became increasingly dangerous, taking control of her life and career and instigating "violent arguments [that] usually resulted in physical abuse and dragging... he would mash my head, knock me over, drag me, kick me."

In November 2023, Ventura had sued the musician, alleging rape and physical abuse. She settled the case the following day, but her public accusations inspired more plaintiffs to come forward in the following weeks with their own abuse allegations against Combs, who denied the allegations.

The music mogul was ultimately found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, a verdict that was widely seen as a legal victory for the rapper, as he was acquitted of sex-trafficking and racketeering charges that could have seen him sentenced to life in prison.

On Oct. 3, 2025, Combs was sentenced to 50 months (just over four years) in prison, fined $500,000, and ordered to five years of supervised release once he leaves prison. He has been serving time at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution, a low-security prison in New Jersey, since late October.

The rapper's release was recently rescheduled, with him slated to be freed on April 15, 2028, 10 days earlier than his sentence was previously set to end on April 25, 2028, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records accessed by EW. The adjustment to the music mogul's release date comes just weeks after a previous change shaved over a month off of his sentence.

Despite his imprisonment, Combs' legal troubles have not ended. The lawsuit brought forth by former sex worker Clayton Howard in June 2025 alleges that he was hired by Diddy and Ventura for "freak-offs," where he allegedly contracted an STD, according to *TMZ*. Per the same *TMZ *story, Howard also claimed that he fathered a pregnancy with Ventura that ended in an abortion.

The suit, charging Cassie and Diddy with sex trafficking, human trafficking, and sexual assault, demands $35,000,000 in damages, as well as "full recovery for all past, present, and future medical expenses, mental health treatment costs, prescription medications, and healthcare expenses" related to physical and mental effects of the freak-offs.
