Tom Holland is back as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Marvel star isn’t thinking about leaving the role anytime soon. While promoting the upcoming movie, Holland discussed his future. He said he’s happy playing Peter Parker for now. The actor hopes to keep wearing the suit longer.

Tom Holland isn’t ready to leave Spider-Man behind

Tom Holland has played Spider-Man for 10 years now. He first appeared in the iconic role in Captain America: Civil War in 2016. But he still feels excited every single time. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland reflected on the journey.

He said, “There’s a family here at Marvel and Sony. We’ve been making these movies for 10 years and we’re all really good friends and we all still really love working with together and there’s a shorthand, there’s a collaboration, there is a shared love for this character that is Peter Parker.”

Holland added, “When we all get together, it always feels like something magical happens, and to get to do it time and time again is something that will never really sink in for me. It still feels like this is my first-ever premiere for this character. It has been the gift of my life.”

Holland also addressed his future as Spider-Man during the premiere. His answer probably won’t surprise longtime Spider-Man fans. “I will do it for as long as they’ll have me. So if this movie does good, I guess we’ll see!”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day seemingly takes place four years after No Way Home. Peter Parker is still protecting New York City anonymously. However, his powers begin changing in unexpected and dangerous ways.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day features a star-packed cast once again. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Sadie Sink all return. Sink’s role still remains a secret for now. Destin Daniel Cretton directs the upcoming Marvel movie.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters this Friday. The film is already expected to be another massive box office success.
